Alot of my entries have been private. Like so private I type it and debate if I should delete or not but happy that I got it out. But I kept them. It's what's going on.

Got some great news yesterday. I got a text message from Eric aka Johnny Hi-Fi telling me that he is flying into town on Friday. We're gonna get together and catch up. I haven't seen him since last spring and that was only because I caught his show at the Engine Room. He still looks great. He got back from his Asia Tour last month and I can't wait to hear about it. I'm sure he's going to want to hear about what's been going on with me this year. We did get to talk about it before he left on tour. Should be interesting. I always go retarded when I'm around him. We'll have to hit up a bar or something.

Chris Isaak Show Thursday September 7, 2006 at the Verizon Wireless Theater

Anybody who knows me knows that I don't really dance. But when asked to go up on stage and dance with Chris Isaak, I'd be stupid to say no.

So a guy is behind me and says, "excuse me." So I move over thinking I'm in his way. Then he continues to say, "excuse me". I stop and turn around and it's a roadie. He asks, "Do you like Chris Isaak"? I'm thinking, "Does the pope wear a funny hat"?* Hell yeah I LOVE Chris Isaak. He has the set list in his hands and stickers turned over. He's tells us that during the show Chris has some girls go up on stage and dance with him to one of his songs. The song was Bonnie B. I asked the guy, "Are you for real?" I turn to Neeko and say I'll do it if you do. She said sure. So he gave us some backstage passes and told us to head to the right of stage during San Fransisco days. There were 8 girls and during the song we all ran up on stage and danced while he moved around and smiled. Oh my God, he smiled at me and I was going to fall on stage. I looked at the crowd and everybody was on their feet. The lights hit and I got to see what he was seeing everynight. Unreal.

We headed off stage and I decided since he was singing his last song that I would wait in line to have him sign my CD/DVD. He did a quick change and came down and he shook Neeko's hand and recognized her then took a look at me shook my hand and said "Nice Dance"! I said something like, "Yeah right, I have no rhythm". He said, "That's not what I saw". **melt** That's what he wrote on my CD/DVD "nice dance" -Chris Isaak and drew a halo over the picture of him.

What can I say about last night? I can't get the smile off my face. I met Chris Isaak!!!

That man is such an entertainer. I'd totally go see him again. From the flashy suit to his interaction with the audience. I loved it.

I think I mixed up too much food... and now I want to yak... I hate tha feeling

It's one of those nights where you eat like a 6 year old a little bit of everything and now you're paying the price.

Holy shit.. so it took me a while to find out that KROQ is streaming.. I'm a happy camper now.

I finally have my own access and I don't have to borrow my roommate's computer anymore. Took long enough huh?

I'll be heading to LA in about 16 days. That's exciting. What blows is that I won't have enough money to get myself a car while I'm there. I kind of fucked myself with paying my bills and then adding several overdraft fees on top of that. So yeah.. Here's to banquet dinners, tuna, and whatever else is in the fridge.

The show was fucking amazing. That's all there was to it. She's great. You hits on everybody and it was so funny because I went with 5 gay guys and here I am the fag hag. They sat us in the middle which was pretty cool. The opener was a gay comic that has a few good lines and totally didn't realize that there were gays in the crowd until he did some type of Liberace bit that I almost spit out my drink and Ru and I busted up laughing because it's the same bit we do at work. So we caught his eye and the comic says "Oh I forgot to ask if my sisters were here tonight" So they raised their drinks to him. Then he mentioned something about riding on a float. When Lisa came out she went right on to her "I love to fuck black men" skit. The whole I blew more black men than Katrina bit killed. In front of the stage they put a bunch of everybody for her to pick on like they did on her DVD. THe hot black guy, the hispanic, the old white man, the soccer mom, the jew, and a gay couple. She layed in to them all it was so funny. She looked over to us and noticed Joe and Leslie and she said "What about you faggot, what's the biggest thing you put up your ass?" And I leaned back on Russell laughing my ass off. Leslie was going to answer too and she cut him off. She reffered to Leslie throughout the night which was awesome. Always starting the question with "Hey cornholer, or hey faggot." Leslie is such a big fan of hers so that must of been awesome for him. Then she noticed the rest of us behind them and asked, "How many of you are out there?" Joe screamed 5 and a girl. Then she said, "Oh yeah the fag hag." And then she looked at me and said, "But the hot skinny ones we call fruit flies." YES YES YES!!!! That's the best compliment ever!!! Holy shit. A compliment from an insult comic. Yeah, that was fantastic. So they were calling me fruit fly for the rest of the night. After the show she was in the front selling her cd and I told her thank you for the fruit fly bit and she was so nice it was weird, on stage she's such a bitch. I would totally see her again.

Afterwards we headed to Katz's and then Ru and I went to JR's for a drink since he hasn't been out in a while and I sure as hell haven't been out. We get there and we see a few coworkers right there in the front and hang out with them all night. It was pretty cool. Ru met up with LaChoy the guy who invited us to the HAHMP (Houston Association of Hispanice Media Professionals) Gala in April where I got to meet John Quinones from 20/20. They talked for a while and exchanged numbers. Sooo maybe something good will come from it. But Ru is playing it down. At 2 we left and came back home and picked Ru up some McDonalds because he had the munchies. It was a great night.

Sunday I had the day off and I decided that I was going to go the park and run/walk since it was such a beautiful day. After that I went grocery shopping and organized my closet because I was so sick of not being able to walk in it. I made spaghetti and italian sausage for dinner and it was good to finally cook. I've been getting tired of eating out. Even tho when I eat out I try to make right decisions about it but then you fall into just getting junk. I just don't want to gain the weight back.

Spoke to Monie about my trip to LA in July. I feel like shit because I won't be able to make it to her graduation because I'll be in San Fransisco. But I will do something to make it up to her. I'll be purchasing the tickets this Friday.

I have the day off today. I need to go get my Roadrunner set up so I can stop using other people's computers. I should also head to the house to pick some more shit up but I hate doing that because it's so far.

This is like weeks overdue but with everything that has been going on and the fact that I don't have my computer yet and that has made it very difficult to log the things that I want to write about, but this definitely has to be mentioned.

For weeks Ru and I were thinking we wanted to go somewhere very relaxing with music and Nicole mentioned Sambuca so I looked it up and it was perfect. My birthday was spent with mainly co-workers but they are friends. I spend most of my time with these people so it's no surprise that most of them were invited to come. So let's see who came. Ru, Joe and his husband Leslie, Nicole, Nicole's mother, Charlie and his girlfriend Zaira, & G. The day before we made reservations and the place made a big deal of making sure we had the number of people coming that we mentioned. Blah blah blah. We show up and they lose our reservation and finally get our table ready. So when we got that out of the way we finally started to enjoy ourselves. I was already tipsy after 2 champagne cocktails. Ru had a great Reisling. I had a gift certificate for a free appetizer that was excellent. Everybody's dinner looked really good where I was actually picking off of Nicole's and I gave her some of my steak and shrimp. Before I knew it I had desert with a candle and the best part of it all nobody sang Happy Birthday.

Everybody was went overboard with the gifts. Word got around that I was looking for furniture so the majorit of the gifts I got were gift cards to Pier 1 because I've been eyebally this headboard and nightstand set. The cards I got were filled with love and support that I cried and was embarassed. I think it was the cocktails.

Nicole mentioned a club for us to go to after called Mantra that wasn't too far from Sambuca. She knew the promotor so we headed over there. The promotor left so she has the cashier call him to make sure we were covered. After that the night became blurry. Nicole bought me shot after shot of Patron, and then a Vodka Redbull. Ru and I danced and made our usual comments about people and how the straight dating scene is so different than the gay dating scene. Joe & Leslie were ready to leave because they weren't feeling the place. G was scoping out the females. We talked for a bit and then he left next door to the Flying Saucer since he knew some people there. It was getting late and Ru and I had to get his stuff out of the apartment so we decided to leave. Nicole and I were pretty much wasted and we found G next door and left. I kind of remember the ride home. I know that I had the window down and I was looking through one eye to focus. We drove by Nicole's boyfriends house and she didn't want to stay so we took her home. Then that's when the ride home got really bad. Ru was a lil tipsy but his driving was really rough so my stomach wasn't' feeling the hard stops and sharp turns. So G came upstairs to chat with Russell and I. All I remember is giving him a hug and saying thanks for coming walking him out the door and headed straight to the bathroom to yack up my wonderful birthday. The next morning I was in pajamas that I have no idea how I got into and woke up bright and early stumbling because I was still drunk to help Ru move out of his old apartment into the new. That was our Easter! Hung over and sweaty.

Happy Birthday indeed!

I really thought I would be in a ball crying thinking how lonely and lost I am. I also thought I would be thinking about Joel and how I wished he was there. But that never came. He did call that evening but I didn't answer the phone. I did not want him to come. I have every right to have my birthday with my friends and not be reminded of the past. It seemed that everybody was all about new beginnings and that's exactly what my birthday started.
